les halles’aeriennes 2025

✨Aerial halls✨

The Aerial Halls are an invitation to dance on trapezes.
A discovery of aerial circus with a sensitive and sensory approach to verticality and to the Hall that surrounds us.

Several danced and dance-based explorations will be offered with Marie Mercadal (trapeze artist with Cirk’oblique), creating a bridge between the ground and the air, and allowing participants to experience new sensations of suspension. You will be guided with trapezes at different heights, building self-confidence and trust in others in order to move toward collective compositions.

The workshop is open to families, parents and children, and adults who wish to create with others and explore aerial circus in a safe and trusting atmosphere. It is also open to teenagers and pre-teens who have the autonomy and ability to invent with their peers while adapting and collaborating within a group.

Children may attend without an accompanying adult starting at age 11.

We ask participants to register and commit to all 5 days, so that everyone can experience steady progress throughout the process of transmission.

At the heart of the village of Puivert, the same group will meet every day for 5 days, from October 20 to 24, 2025, from 3 PM to 5 PM, to learn, explore, and enjoy creating together.

Each day, village residents will be invited to discover the group’s ongoing compositions, and on Friday, October 24 at 4 PM, a final sharing will be presented for families and the curious—likely accompanied by an improvising musician.

For participants:
Through tools of research and transmission based on improvisation and exploration, each participant will be able to find ways to suspend themselves, connect with the trapeze, the air, and others with subtlety.

We will explore different qualities of body and movement both on the ground and in suspension, allowing everyone to discover their own singular way of moving and approaching the circus apparatus through their unique physicality. Participants will also explore new movement vocabularies and qualities, engaging imagination and bodily awareness, while finding pathways and techniques to feel lighter in suspension.

Improvisation exercises will also foster intuitive work. You will journey through the fundamentals of contemporary dance, opening onto the aerial space.

For spectators:
Every day from 4 PM to 4:45 PM, the curious are invited to witness the group at work.
On Friday at the same time, villagers and invited guests will be welcomed to a final sharing, followed by an exchange with the group.
