On 24 November and 1 December, the first child-parent workshops were a real success, combining trapeze, dance and aerial circus. These were magical moments shared between children, aged 9 months to 18 years, and their parents or grandparents, who agreed to be surprised and amazed together as a family! The parents took on the role of creating and sharing aerial sensations with their children.
As well as circus workshops as you might imagine them, the dance approach enabled everyone to discover their own unique way of moving.
The directions proposed ranged from contact, kinaesthetic and contemporary dance to aerial research. Each exercise was like a journey, an experiment…
The younger children’s group enabled the children to develop their motor skills at their own pace, while the parents also had this precious time to discover themselves in practice, or to share with their children. The aim was to develop collective listening skills and stimulate non-verbal exchanges.
The intermediate group worked on the concepts of carrying, being carried and above all composing together instantly on the ground and in the air. Playful and creative, the children and adults were carried away by the freedom to invent.
The older children’s group performed in full suspension! We had to insist that they stop! They worked on their circus technique, and also performed with their parents, much to their delight, even the teenagers.
The workshops were fully booked every Saturday!
The “Dimanches Suspendus” workshops are a big hit with everyone, and they’re still a dream come true!
Given the success of these unique workshops, Marie Mercadal, their talented creator and host, is considering a new formula to accompany you throughout the year.
In the meantime, don’t miss the next exceptional editions on Saturday 19 January and Saturday 9 February. It’s the perfect opportunity to share a magical moment with your family and children aged 1 to 18!
On the programme: 3 captivating workshops throughout the day, depending on the age of the children, to awaken the imagination and strengthen the parent-child bond.
