The “Halles Aériennes”

The “Halles Aériennes” is an invitation to dance on trapezes and circus fabrics. Discover aerial circus with a sensitive, sensory approach to the vertical.

Several dance and dance-like explorations will be offered with Marie Mercadal (trapeze artist) and Anaïs Raphel (Corde lisse et Tissus), to make the link between on the ground and in the Air, and to acquire the necessary confidence in oneself and in others to move towards collective compositions.

The program is open to families, parents and children, and to adults who want to create with others and learn about aerial circus with confidence. It’s also open to teenagers and pre-teens with the autonomy and ability to invent with their peers, and the flexibility to work with a group.

Local residents are invited every days to come and discover our compositions.

Every day at 4.30pm we’ll invite France Affidi to instantly compose music for you, flooding the hall with music and choreographic liberties.

Description for participants:
Using research and transmission tools based on improvisation and exploration, each participant will find ways to suspend themselves and make contact with the air and others with finesse.
The different qualities of body and movement on the ground and in suspension will be explored, enabling all participants to find their own unique way of moving and apprehending the circus act with their own physicality.
Improvisation exercises will also be used to work on intuition. You’ll travel through the fundamentals of contemporary dance with an opening onto aerial space.

Description for spectators:
Every day from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, the curious are invited to discover the group at work.
On Fridays at the same time, we’ll be inviting local residents and a specially-created guest list to attend a performance followed by a discussion with the group.
