The return of light to Puivert Castle

Despite a small circle of volunteers at the outset, the festival of light slowly took shape, driven by commitment, creativity, and shared confidence. Each person found their place, offering their energy where it was most needed: technical skills, words, gestures, light, colors, hospitality, flavors. As the days drew nearer, new forces enriched the adventure, weaving a sensitive and lively collective.

For the first time, Puivert Castle was illuminated at night. In the deep darkness, flames, projections, and lights created a rare, almost magical setting. The ancient, motionless site seemed to listen to footsteps, breaths, and amazed gazes. Arnaud’s warm welcome and enthusiasm accompanied every moment, like a benevolent presence watching over the festivities.

The staging guided the audience through the heart of winter, this passage from the darkest day to the return of light. The luminous dragon, more dazzling than ever, appeared as a guardian of creative forces, while the queen of light, carried with grace, embodied momentum, beauty, and hope. Whispered wishes for the coming year floated in the air, carried by the flames and the gazes of the audience.

The braziers, the carefully tended bonfire, and the projections on the castle stones created an atmosphere that was both powerful and gentle. Even the wind, sometimes playful, reminded us of the lively and unpredictable nature of the night.
